About Us

Hi friends!

My name is Sabina and I am the owner & creator of Good Doggo.

Being an immigrant to the States, I've always dreamed of achieving the American Dream. But here's a little backstory about how I got here first:

My parents are originally from Bosnia & Herzegovina, also known as ex Yugoslavia. Bosnia was a communist country that eventually broke out into a civil war, even though it was technically a genocide against our people. My parents were one of the lucky ones, because even though they were kicked out of their homes & forced into concentration camps, they were able to survive and escape.

Fast forward less than a year later, they were living in Germany & I was born. We lived there for about 5 years, and they also had my sister. But a few months after she was born, my parents got the opportunity to come to the United States, and Las Vegas, here we were coming.

Growing up as an immigrant to parents that didn't have much was rough. I remember watching my dad work 3 jobs, while my mom was working overnights just to be able to take care of us during the day. My sister and I didn't get to experience the things that the kids around us were experiencing but I was okay with it, because I knew my parents were trying their best to give us everything they could.

I could say now that my parents are doing better than most Americans, and I'm very proud of them for that, but growing up watching them work as hard as they did, always made me want to figure out a way for an easier life for myself and my future family. I always believed that they went through all of these sacrifices so that my sister and I could succeed in bigger ways so that we could have it easier than they ever have.

Cue my little love bug, Chapo. Chapo is my French Bulldog that my husband and I took in after his previous owners no longer needed him for breeding purposes, which there is no hate against as long as things are done ethically. He very quickly became my best friend and I wanted to share him with the world. Chapo brought me so much joy on a daily basis that I knew he could bring joy to others as well, and I was right, as soon as I started sharing Chapo, people fell in love with him and he became kind of famous.

My heart was so full of love and I was just so proud of him for being who he was, that I decided I wanted to create a legacy for him, something that I always had even when he was no longer here. And from that, came Good Doggo.
